Well if you been following my very quiet blog, you would know that I teach Sunday Schools to a bunch of 14 years old who drives me up the wall. Still, they are a pleasure to be with...

Ultraboy
His mother, my cousin told me that he watches too much cartoon. Guess what he did for attention? He stood at one corner posing as superhero Ultraman for 10 minutes - super catatonic I tell you, he did not move and just stood still staring at us. Oh the joy of being a kid...

There’s Monday…and Monday
Just so you know, Friday is no longer a day I look forward to. How I envy people who post out TGIF messages over tweets and Facebook but me? Friday is the day I am swamped most with work. Maybe that’s why I appreciate weekends by hibernating at home or hanging out at the parents. Oops, did I say that out loud. Goodness, I did. Yes, I have been hanging out with the parents these days over the weekend. The mother needs company now that the brother is away. I think it’s really bias that the brother calls the parents more than he does to me. Come to think of it, he never calls me unless he needs advise on his Digital Marketing class. Lucky him that he has a sister in the industry else he will need to crack his head like the rest of the class.
Anyway, things have been hectic. I don’t know where the whole month of October went. Now I am regretting the last dumpling I ate earlier because I haven’t loss the weight I wanted for Taurus wedding. Also, I suspect my memory span is getting shorter. I hardly remember what I did two days earlier. Every day is seriously a Monday. I feel guilty promising people I’ll get things done clearly when I have no time for anything else. It’s also not helping that I have so many backlogs with work. Well, if you are about to question me on why I am blogging though there is a backlog issue, I’m only human. I seriously need to let the brain not process work from time to time. I been throwing my tiredness into cooking, not helping coz I’ll just end up eating. Bah, if only things are just simple as it is.
A little rant here and there, I got a ticket for crossing the red light at 9pm in a quiet area. I swear the cops were just lurking in the corner waiting for their victims. Then, there is also the matter of AirAsia and their crappy system. Oops, did I say that out loud? Well, why offer free tickets when it’s impossible for people to log on anyway? It just doesn’t make sense. Not only that, it get pretty frustrating when you finally made a purchase and you find that it was a double booking. Seriously, what is the world coming to?
I am actually blaming my emo-ness on work. I am tempted to go and get my hair chopped off now. This time, it’s for real. Not little trim here and there. As in off with the whole length. Easy say but I know I am going to dilly dally and ask the whole world about their opinion. Hey, I am a girl after all. I am allowed to contradict. Else, I am not me. Seriously, I don’t know why at this point I am going to defend my job and say that I enjoy it. But I do…what’s wrong with me? Perhaps I just need to start loving Monday...then Monday will be better off, right?

How to know when it gets a little too much…
- You can’t remember what you did yesterday
- You can’t remember what you need to do next
- You remember heading in to work on Monday and next, it’s already Friday
- You camp through work on Friday night and don’t even complain about it
- You can’t put in place what’s home and office
Going back to the love of my life, this thing I call my career, I think I am going to be in this industry for quite a bit - unless someone decides to piss me the wrong way. The learning curve is really an exciting one and advancing opportunity is definitely there. If anyone is looking into the advertising line, I personally would recommend joining the digital site. Hey, as long as internet exists, the industry will boom. In fact, it’s thriving. It’s not as big here in South East Asia as yet and frankly, it’s hard to come by people who have passion or interest to grow in the industry. Man, sounds like I am promoting my job all the sudden. I’m not… I just want people to know that yes, I’ve been busy but most importantly I like what I do - even though I’ve threaten to ‘slash my wrist’ if THEY kept being unreasonable.
So don’t worry…I’m doing just fine.

Protection needed
Not the rubber or pill kind of protection, rather the very much talked about INSURANCE. Now, many know of it, many been cold called or pitch about it but how many people actually value the importance? For myself, I started investing on health policy including investment plan and lady illness coverage once I started working. The parents thought that I was crazy being that in certain months, I would need to put away close to one grand on health and life insurance. I know I am at the edge of being extreme but what I have is unfortunately just another basic coverage. At least, basic or no basic I have something to depend on if something unexpected does happen *touch wood*. But what I find shocking is, not many share the same sentiment as I have – which is to have at least basic coverage for unexpected illnesses.
For example, I have a friend who is only a year older than I am. The person had been in and out the hospital with ‘unexplained’ symptoms. I always assumed the insurance was helping the person to cope with expenses but imagine my surprise when I learn that the person is not covered and has been forking thousands of dollar to cover the medical expenses. In another scenario, a friend recently discovered cyst and the basic policy do not cover the expenses. Now additional cost has to be fork out for the operation. Is this plain ignorant or at this present day, many still think that nothing will ever ‘happen’ to them?
I’m not trying to lecture but why are people finding it so hard to allocate a couple of hundred bucks aside a month? It’s not that the money invested will no longer be recovered. Treat it as a ‘retirement’ plan. When the policy matures, the money will be returned. I really hope that people do not see insurance as a burden because it is not.
Now that we are on this insurance matter, I got to admit that I been ignorant as well when it comes to the parents. I mean, I always assume that the parents are insured for their golden age. My ‘Ah Long’ aka agent been advising me that with the new terms offered, the parents should consider extending their policy maturity to 80 years. The agent has a point, my grandparents have lived pass 70 years old and when they fall ill, a large sum of money needs to be collected. My grandparents are lucky, there is 8 of them sibling. Now, in my family there is only 3 of us and being the eldest, guess who is freaking out. Me, that is. Now going back to the parents, I pretty much freak out learning that the parents do not have a medical card. Life insurance – Yes. Health coverage – No. I’m pretty much running around like a headless chicken trying to get them a policy. I am not trying to say that they have many illnesses but they have hit the age where little problems will start cropping up here and there. And frankly, I don’t blame them for not thinking about themselves. They have been putting every penny they have for us the kids that they totally forgot to protect themselves.
So peeps, please take some time to consider getting yourself insured if you haven’t. I have an excellent agent who does brilliant client servicing if you need a contact. I am not saying just because the person is a friend but because the agent has never failed to advice for the right policy and recommendation. Also, please check if your loved one are insured. It’s never too late to start investing while you can.

Like Finally…
Don’t laugh okay…like seriously. *Cough* I finally went up to Genting a couple of weeks ago. I have shared this on my previous post and people found it unbelievable or rather amusing that I never been up there for a break. Yeah, I concluded the parents don’t love me as much as the siblings. Everyone seems to have a story of having their parents bringing them up there for the theme park. Mine? Well, they brought me to Sunway Lagoon…that is like what, 15 minutes drive from home. It doesn’t count, does it? Maybe they couldn’t stand having me in a closed area with them for a long journey being that I will either a. annoy them b. ignore them c. kill them (just kidding…)
Anyway, a close friend decided that he’ll be my first – not in bed, as in companion (not that kind of companion!) – driving buddy (stop thinking so much nonsense) to show me around Genting. Frankly, don’t think I missed out much. If I was in Genting during my younger year, I would have frozen my fats off (hoho…). There wasn’t much to do apart from the casino and theme park. Okay, perhaps the long drive up just for coffee (crazy people and the ‘cold’ weather theory) and chat. I don’t know, it just wasn’t that appealing. Anyway, leaving the rest of the post to the photos.
Yes, to all my fans out there, this is me walking down Star Walk (only saw posters of artists heading down Malaysia, where are all the stars?)

Not that it's a big deal...
...But I been featured in September Alumni Newsletter profile write up for Bond Uni -> can you see me blushing?
It goes:-
JOSEPHINE JEREMIAH PROFILE (ALUM 04)
Good news from Master of Communication alumnus, Josephine Jeremiah, who has recently been appointed Account Manager at Agenda Solution in Kuala Lumpur, Asia’s leading internet technology and interactive marketing services company.
Josephine’s career has gone from strength to strength since she graduated from Bond in 2005.
Her first position straight out of university was with a leading university college where, as a counsellor and trainer, Josephine was wholly responsible for the day-to-day operations of their counselling department.
The following year, she joined a multinational, business-to-business market research organisation as Conference Producer where she coordinated global business conferences and training programs throughout Singapore and Indonesia.
The company quickly promoted Josephine to Senior Conference Producer, focussing on the top industries and government departments in the Indonesian marketplace.
Her new role at Agenda represents a challenging switch from the conference industry to the brave new world of digital advertising.
Agenda has been involved in the interactive industry for ten years and they now boast well over 250 consulting staff, with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong and Josephine’s current base, Kuala Lumpur.
